Ryan June is a strategic legal advisor with complex commercial litigation and corporate internal investigations experience at an Am Law 50 firm, as well as dispute resolution, intellectual property, and corporate counseling and transactional experience at a major global media and higher education nonprofit. Ryan has a proven record of delivering high quality, yet practical and client-centered solutions to complex legal problems.

Ryan’s private practice experience started at the international law firm Winston & Strawn LLP. There, he represented Fortune 500 and other companies in the insurance, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, banking, and agriculture sectors in various litigation and dispute resolution proceedings, including class action, multibillion-dollar false advertising and Lanham Act, trademark, contract, fraud, insurance, FINRA, and negligence disputes. Ryan also represented clients in corporate internal investigations, most notably a two-year-long data security and privacy investigation for a Fortune 50 client that involved interviews with more than 100 witnesses and an 800-page investigation report.

Following his time at Winston, Ryan pursued a unique opportunity to serve as Assistant General Counsel for a major global media and higher education nonprofit. There, he had the opportunity to build on his dispute resolution experience and diversify his practice, gaining corporate counseling, intellectual property, and transactional experience spanning commercial, trademark, copyright, software and technology, privacy and data security, employment, insurance, and religious and nonprofit matters.

While in house, Ryan learned to value and provide creative and practical counsel. He established a solid track record of developing and implementing effective legal strategies for mission-critical business objectives, often turning complicated legal problems into strategic business opportunities. For example, Ryan built and managed the brand enforcement and expansion strategy and provided strategic counsel in domestic and international trademark, copyright, and unfair competition disputes related to a New York Times bestselling book and related internationally-recognized brand.

Ryan received his Juris Doctorate, graduating first in his class, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he served as Managing Editor of the school’s flagship law journal. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science and Business/Economics from Wheaton College.

On a personal note, Ryan, his wife Heather, and their three children live in Wheaton, Illinois and are active in their church and local community. Apart from family and church activities, Ryan serves as Chair of the Board for Family Empowerment Centers, a nonprofit outreach community center supporting families and children in Chicago, and as a Milton Township precinct committeeman. Ryan enjoys skiing and is a diehard Denver Nuggets fan.
